Rootmolen  

The Rootmolen's renovated grain mill has been active from 1284 till 1971.
The granary on the first floor has been converted to a sunny apartment with modern lodging comfort.
In front of the kitchen’s window is a south-terrace, of which the stairs bring you to the bridge.  There you can see the lock, mill-wheel and garden with it's pond, playground….

The Rootmolen is a landmark in Vliermaalroot, which is a small village of Kortessem. 
Our region Haspengouw is renown for it’s fruit.  What I like most, is the open space around here.  
In case you are fond of horses, enjoy the horse-riding center in our street.
Many cycling tourists choose our region, because of the variation in the landscape.
